The closet is done!

We finally finished the closet. Here is a look at the journey...

We decided to redo the coat closet b/c it

A) Was missing part of a wall from the bathroom remodel
B) Had wires all over the place from the alarm and thermostat installations.
C) It needed to be part coat closet

So we tore down the left wall and drywalled that

Then we had to patch the hole in the ceiling where wires had been, and patch the hole on the right where Jeanette busted through the wall upon taking out the shelving. Since we didnt go on our trip to Europe, there was plenty of time to just knock down the right wall rather than patching it!

Then we plastered, painted and installed everything.

Almost Done....

Done!

  1. Like many great works, it is not with size and grandeur that the closet impresses, but with its detail and precision. The deft strokes of the texture, almost as though it was applied one small cup at a time; the resolute placement of the hanging rod, clearly saying, “Trust your mauve, pink-trimmed coat to me! I will keep it from the floor.”

Like Nikola Tesla and his polyphase electrical distribution system, or Chris Carter and the X-Files before David Duchovny left, JeNate can look upon the closet with pride and claim:
    “I made this!”
